I had lunch at this restaurant about 3 weeks ago, so my recollection of the experience is not as vivid, but overall, I think this sushi restaurant was good and the menu selections adequate. The food is not as salty as some of the other restaurants I've visited, which is a good thing, and the service is a notch better but not by a huge margin. For example, I reserved a table for two 20 minutes ahead of time and we were given one of those booth seats upon arrival that had a "Reserved" sign sitting on the table, which illustrates that this restaurant actually does makes an effort to do reservations, unlike some places that take your reservation but simply put you at the top of the list once you arrive and make you wait for the next table, which can sometimes take long.
I found their deep-fried ice cream very interesting. Basically, it's a scoop of ice cream that's coated with some deep-fried crumb that gives you a crunchy texture; it's kind of hard to describe but it's worth trying.
this place is the best sushi bar in the GTA, i go there almost every weekend for lunch, for people who havent tried it my favorite dish personally would have to be the crispy dragon roll.
Its somewhat of a trade off place. I had gone there for 1 year steady because the food is incredible. I eat alot of sushi and this places food quality is by far one of the best. The reason why I stopped going is because of getting less and less food until it came to a point where we would get Half rolls or 2 scallops. I stopped going.
Recently I thought Id take my girlfriend there HOPING things had changed. They hadnt. We were seated at a 2 X2 foot table while other couples were given two tables or booths. It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our order and it all came in one shot. Imagine an AYCE and sitting at a 2X2 table between 2 people.
The staff is horrible and does not recognize you. We tried calling waiters over several times and they walk right by. Also the place is tiny.
There you have it. For food its incredible. But the service will turn you off.
