Have been going to Bentleys for over 12 years. Went in this weekend as part of a table of eight. They did'nt seem to be very organized with the reservation. Someone else had organized the dinner, but we happened to be the first to arrive. They asked how many were in our party ,which we did'nt know. Actually they must have asked that 3 times. I eventually had to say that I was not the one that had made the reservations, and maybe they could check there book.
Breen himself was working and watching over the staff. I thought that was great considering the poor service reviews they have been getting. The food was good, my only complaint was the caesar salad dressing was rich, and there was way to much of it. Made the salad hard to finish and a bit to soggy.
This was a good trip for us this time. Like I said earlier though, I hope Breen spends more time in the restaurant. The one thing that they have always had is bad service. I hope he can clean that up.
Service was below average and food was inedible. I wished I had read the reviews prior to our visit to this restaurant. My cheese ravioli was hard on the outside and cold on the inside, which would mean it certainly wasn't fresh, but micorwaved. Honestly, save your money and try somewhere else.
Usually I read the reviews, but this was kind of unplanned. I should have done it.
Service lousy, we waited outside for a while even we were told our request to sit outside would be honoured shortly. We decided just to walk inside and find a place for ourselves. The server suggestions on the choice of beer were ok. She showed interest in providing enough info on requests. The drinks order -when delivered- were wrong, the soup was ok. The steaks were all ordered medium rare, but one. ALL of them were fully cooked. My brother-in-law's piece was so hard just like a shoe sole.
SImply the piece of meat plus fries, no vegetables at all.
One corner of my sister's fish was weird, like rotten-soft. The good (stupid?) thing: we said nothing among us, but then on the way back home we started talking about the food and how awful was. We all agree that nobody wanted to bring up any comments risking to screw the beautiful day we were spending in the city.
We went to this place because it was listed in the brochure we picked in the tourism information office.
They should be banned from advertising, I totally agree with another review : Shame on you Bentley !!!!

What is going on with this place.. SO DISAPPOINTED
My friend and I went here for a nice lunch. NOT to happen... The fish and chips were very very dark and dry and the burger tasted like it had been under a heat lamp or something along with the salad which was warm and limp. The attitude of the servers was terrible. They are "too busy" to get the ketchup? I asked for the manager and was told she was busy however I saw her sitting at the bar eating her own lunch. Do customers not count anymore? Just wondering.
