Food will match the best restaurants in downtown Toronto but at less than half the price. The spinach salad is the best we've ever had. Oddles of noddles is a spicey asian dish with seafood. The duck is the best in Simcoe county. The flourless chocolate torte alone brings us back here time and time again. Oh yes, the service is excellent!
First things first - the food was great. The lamb and duck were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The one thing I have to complain about is the house wine. We chose it because we like Carmenere and we didn't want a whole bottle. Well, it tasted like it was homemade in the basement a week before serving - truly, a bad experience for such an upscale establishment. This stuff should not be served with this quality of food. Period. It detracted from the eating experience rather than enhancing it. The rest of the wine list is quite good and has typical mark-up costs. In hindsight we would have picked differently.
Excellent fine dining in an historic building THIS IS NOT AN INDIAN RESTAURANT!
This was our first visit as we're from out of town --- what a hidden gem! The food was wonderful , as was the service. Would definitely go back and recommend it to friends. Just wondering --- why it is listed under cusine as Indian? If anything, it should be Bistro?!
First time at the Library, The food & Service was Outstanding. We will be coming back.
