Poorest customer service due to the facts that they showed no courtesy nor respect, sat at nearby table and stared while eating, didn't provide a chop stick stating that we would not know how to use, prompted to pay several times while eating. Made atmosphere as uncomfortable as they could for boys of colour. That superseded the quality of the food.
Good quality salmon sashimi and their various rice rolls are good too. Their tempura sauce isn't very good though, tastes like it's watered down. But overall, we've had salmon sashimi and rolls take-out from here a few times and enjoyed it. The servers don't smile or chat with you but no problem, the service is fine.
My girlfriend and I used to enjoy going to this restaurant with our kids until a couple weeks ago, which was the last time ever!
We were the only guests in the restaurant and I had to get up to ask for drink refills and to ask for a new sheet for our order and then after the server didn't bring my son's ice cream which was marked on the sheet, I had to ask for that twice. To top off our experience, after my son had been sick all over the floor and we had told the server we needed to leave he offered to pack up the little bit of food that was left and then charged me $8 for it. The all-you-can-eat is $15 so I don't know how a few small items can be $8. I argued with the server that if it weren't for my son being sick I would have eaten the food in the restaurant. He told me it was the policy and I was charged for everything.
My girlfriend and I will never return to Sushi And Rolls. We will go back to Sushi Mountain where we have never had a bad experience.
I like the food here,however the service leaves something to be desired. If you go for the all you can eat make sure you order lots on the first round and keep track of what you order.
The last two times we have been there they have missed orders. In what should be an enjoyable night out turns into a two-hour waiting game.
If they can't handle the all-you-can-eat portion of the business then they should drop it.
They seem to favor people going in and ordering bento boxes.
We will not be returning to this establishment.
I visit there at least once a week, I have their beef teriaki, salad, and soup. I've taken several people there to try it and they all love it. Only thing is the owner is there alot and i think he needs to listen a bit better when it comes to taking an order. I got take out a week ago and it was missing 3 items. I even double checked while he was writin git down. He didn't offer me a discount last time i was there, which rubbed me the wrong way. So i left no tip. hey i come from courtice to ajax get my food home and it was wrong. So check your order if your getting take out.
