Today I decided to do a bit of maternity clothes shopping and I thought I would try the motherhood maternity at the Tanger Mall. I had a good experience at the location on Merivale Rd but since it had closed down I expected it to be another good experience at the Tanger Mall location, boy was I wrong! When I went into th store I was greated and was asked what I was looking for. The sales associate tried to persuade me into trying on a bunch of clothes I didn't want, but I finally caved when she had told me to try on some leggings with a few of the tops I had liked. I felt pressured during the whole shopping experience. Finally I decided on two tops that I liked but I had decided not to get the leggings. When I want to the cash to pay for the shirts that I chose to purchase she gave me the guilt trip that the leggings were on sale and they looked good on me. I then told her yet again "no thank you, I don't want them" she proceeded to throw my shirts in the bag and hardly speak to me for the rest of the transaction. When I go to a store where I will most likely be putting out a lot of my hard earned money, I don't appreciate being pressured and guilt tripped. If I didn't like the shirts as much as I did, I probably would have just walked out. I won't be back to this location.
