“Most of our friends are artists, tattoo artists, graphic designers,” says Heather, co-owner of The Goods Screening & Apparel, “neither of us can draw, so we took the manual labour aspect of it and provided an outlet for all the designs we were seeing.”
When Heather and Dave opened The Goods Screening & Apparel, they saw an opportunity to showcase the talents of artists in their community, and bring more exclusive brands to a broader audience in Vancouver.
“Our best selling shirts are designed by one of our good buddies,” Heather says. “It feels great to be able to cut them a cheque at the end of the day.” Building the community around them by supporting artists and exposing their work to larger audiences via their shirts, sweaters, other apparel and prints, The Goods Screening & Apparel takes pride in being an ambassador for local, lesser-known artists and designers.
